So we have lots of new young drivers in arizona every year and if you are one of them this article is for you. If you are in your mid 30s and you are moving out of your mamas house and for some reason till now you decided to take up driving, this article is still for you.
Congratulations, now you have your own car, but what’s next? Should I put those new shiny wheels or get that new blasting car stereo that connects to your phone via bluetooth?,
Yea if you are smiling and thinking “I do need a new stereo” keep reading, because if you don’t get insurance first those new shiny wheels or that new stereo is going to the tow yard. Yes, if you drive in the state of Arizona without insurance and the police pulls you over, your car is going to the tow yard. Believe me, it doesn’t work to tell the officer you’re sorry or that you didn’t know. I’m not even going to mention the fees they are going stick you with and what you’ll need to pay to get it out. plus you’ll need to prove that you have liability insurance, you might be asking,” What is that,? Why does the state make such a big deal about it? How do I get that?”. Well to get it, you have to step in a Oasis Insurance office, There are 17 locations Including Tucson Arizona to get covered.
Here is a quick explanation of what liability insurance is or better yet what it is not:
It will not cover your own vehicle damage at all. It will not cover theft of your vehicle. It will not cover yours and your friends medical expenses in case you had an accident… so what is this liability insurance then?
In case you are driving and you have an at fault accident this liability insurance will pay the damage caused to the other poor driver when you were trying to show off with your friends. It will only pay the damage to the other driver’s car and the bodily injury caused to the other driver and their passengers. You have two parts in your liability insurance:
First Bodily Injury: The minimum limit in the state of Arizona is 15,000 per person and 30,000 per occurrence. This means if there were 4 people in that car you hit the insurance will only pay up to 30,000 for the medical. This amount will have to be divided between all the passengers with a max limit of 15,000 per one person. It will not pay all 30,000 on one passenger.
Second part is the Property Damage: 10,000 This part is easy, The max limit the insurance will pay fir all property damage is10,000.
And that is Liability insurance. It only pays the other driver, not yourself. Other sections of your insurance policy can cover your medical expenses and damage to your car, but its a different section, If you want to know more about getting coverage for your medical expenses or damage to your own car, call Oasis insurance at 480 649 8001 and speak to an Agent today, We will be able to explain more on the different coverages you can get. Consider looking into saving on your renewal within one month’s time of renewing your car insurance policy. If you decide to cancel before renewal fees might occur, benefits to waiting on renewal no penalties or fees. If you have the cash pay the policy in full for a discount rather than monthly or quarterly.
However, make sure you have your new insurer in place before canceling the old one. You never want to be without coverage.
Combine all your insurance policies to get lower car insurance quotes. You will receive discount car insurance if you have additional insurance policies with the same company. If you need insurance for multiple vehicles, home insurance, motorcycle insurance, boat insurance, business insurance, etc, you may ask for additional insurance quotes on those items. So many people out there don’t have a clue how important it is to be properly covered. Properly covered? What dose properly mean? Well let me explain to you what this means. Depending on your financial status and your assets you should be adjusting your coverage to adequately cover your finances and assets. Take this story as an example, happened to a friend of mine. He had 2 homes,3 cars a good 20,000 in the bank. A family man, with 2 kids and a wife was involved in a severe car accident with a 10 passenger van that unfortunately had every seat occupied. He was determined to be 100% at fault. At the end of this terrible ordeal he was facing a $205,000 hospital bill along with personal suits from the passengers. To make a long story short him and his family are now living in a 1bedroom apartment and up to this day they still garnish his wages to finish paying what he owes . So next time your in our offices please take the time and ask your agent if you are properly covered. They have the knowledge, experience, and the coverages that you need.
Visit our site or call us for a free analysis of your insurance coverages and a free quote.

“I only want street legal insurance”.
A lot of client come in the office requesting auto insurance quotes, asking only for “street legal insurance” or “ insurance to show the cops if pulled over”. Some times we need to step back and see the real picture , insurance is not for the cops and street legal has the minimum limits.
In AZ It’s 15/30/10 what do this numbers stand for, if you are at fault in an accident your insurance will pay the other driver $15,000 tops per person for medical payments, and $30,000 tops per occurrence only for medical payments, and it refers to; in one accident your limits will only pay $30,000 so if you have more than 4 passengers in the vehicle you hit only 30,000 will be available to share in the 4 passengers. The las 10 refers to $10,000 for Property Damage , the average vehicle on the streets is more than $12,000 , Another scenario say the vehicle hit is not a total loss but you hit 2 vehicles, the $10,000 limit would have to share in 2 vehicle 5,000 per vehicle. Now if any thing goes over your limits your liable. Or in other word you would pay out of pocket.
If you are asking for this “street legal insurance “not only the coverage you are asking is the minimum but you are not asking for medical coverage if some one hits you, and guess what your passengers can also sue you if you in an accident.

In the State of Arizona it is a mandatory law that each individual who has a registered vehicle and a valid driver’s license carry auto insurance, however not everyone obeys the law and this could lead to a hefty fine if you should happen to get pulled over by a police officer or cause an accident and have no proof of insurance. Here at OASIS we will give a quote based on the information that you give us,we will put that information into our computer system, which then will find the best company that suits your needs. If it’s just basic liability or full coverage that you need we can definitely help you out.
For those of us who are not sure what LIABILITY COVERAGEis, I will explain it: This is the portion that protects against claims for legal liability arising out of auto accidents. This also provides legal defense and pays sums necessary to settle claims against the insured person.
The required minimum limits by Arizona State law are your Bodily Injury limits of $15,000 per person and up to $30,000 per occurrence and Property Damage limit of $10,000 per accident.
So pick up that telephone and give us a call here at OASIS, and let one of our friendly and knowledgeable agents give you that quote.

When you go into an insurance agency and ask for “basic full coverage” do you understand what you are purchasing? Let me explain, that means most of the time you have purchased the lowest liability coverage availble which is Bodily Injury coverage at 15,000 per person, 30,000 per accident, and 10,000 property damage of others. Many refer to this coverage as BIPD. You have also purchased comprehensive which covers Fire, Theft and Vandalism, and Collision incase you vehicle is in a collision accident of any sort, a deductible is chosen anywhere from $100 to $1,500 which you are responsible for in order for the company to investigate & finish the claim process. THATS IT! You did not purchase Medical Payments for you or your passengers, Un-insured/Under-insured Motorist, Glass Coverage, Towing, or Rental…..You have asked for just the “basic”and that is what is sold to you per your request. This satisfies the state mandatory insurance coverage and most of the time the leinholder/finance company, but in all reality, if you were depending on your policy to have sufficient coverage and limits to cover you over and beyond, to not have to worry about getting sued, or put a lein on any assets you own incase it was a huge severe accident and many medical bills were incurred, or if you needed a vehicle to get you to work for a loaner car this is not the coverage you need . Please make sure next time you ask for “basic full coverage” you understand what your signature is agreeing too. Oasis Insurance would gladly help you with a good policy to cover all your insurance needs.

Working as an Insurance Agent you see a lot of people get confused with this type of coverage because a lot of them think when they get full glass coverage is automatically included, but every company is different.
Glass coverage is a type of comprehensive auto insurance that may either be included in the comprehensive coverage with the same deductible or as a separate coverage, depending on the insurance company.
Separate glass coverage has lower deductibles than most comprehensive policies, most companies here in AZ offer zero deductible. This means that if you break your windshield and it must be replaced you would be responsible for 50 to 100 dollars of the cost, or nothing at all, depending on your policy.
Most glass coverage also offers free chip fixes. If you get a small crack or chip in your windshield and get it fixed in time, it will likely be covered at no charge, depending on your insurance company.
So if you have any questions or need any quotes feel free to give Oasis Insurance a call for a free no obligation quote and talk to one of our Representatives
